Project Overview

China National Petroleum Corporation Drilling Company needs to replace the screens of its Brandt ALPHA shaker. The slurry temperature of this project is relatively high and it contains a lot of sand. The large slurry flow leads to a shorter service life of the screens. Therefore, a screens with a longer service life is needed to reduce the cost of screens replacement and minimize downtime.

Challenge

1. High temperature of the mud causes the rubber strip at the connection points of the screens to deform and fall off.

2. Mud contains a lot of sand, which causes the screens to get clogged and reduces the screening efficiency of the screens.

3. Large flow of mud leads to intensified screens damage and increases operating costs.

Solution

1. Yuanpeng ALPHA replaced the screens with high-temperature resistant reinforced adhesive technology rubber strip.

2. Recommended optimized mesh combination ( API 120 layered configuration) , which enhances the screens screening efficiency while reducing screens clogging.

3. ALPHA replacement screens provided by Yuanpeng is designed with a denser cross-shaped square perforated screens, which enhances the overall strength of the screens and improves the screens deformation and fatigue resistance caused by mud impact, thereby extending the service life of the screens.
